Mrs Akinretoye, a seasoned administrator, joined the board of Global Biofuels Ltd in 2008.
She obtained the following academic and professional qualifications:

- Diploma, St. Cecilia Academy USA (1973) Washington DC
- Sundry Diplomas & Certificate in Computer Information Systems
Prior to joining Global Biofuels Ltd, she worked in various organisations and capacities as detailed below:
- Managing Director/CEO, Metrogold Securities Ltd
- President/CEO, Metrogold Press Ltd
- Proprietress, Excellent Salon and Supermarket
- Retired Chief Systems Analyst, National Bureau of Statistics (1981 – 2006)
Mrs. Akinretoye, a devout Christian in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion was equally the former President of Ladies Christian Auxiliary Association, St. Paul’s Isolo, Lagos.
She is a committed philanthropist and happily married with children.
